Nihal, renowned for his lightning-fast calculation and incredible defensive resourcefulness under extreme time pressure, finished the tournament with an impressive score of 16.5/21.

The decisive moment came in the final round, where Nihal defeated French Grandmaster Maxime Vachier-Lagrave in a highly theoretical Sicilian Defense. Nihal's rapid piece play and tactical awareness forced MVL into a time scramble, securing the classical checkmate combination.

The victory marks Nihal's first major world championship title, solidifying his reputation as one of the best blitz players in chess history.
